Smarten up || The Knitted Dress Edit

Time to get kitted up in a knitted dress…

I do not know about you but my first memory of a jumper dress was when I was little girl, and it felt boxy and cosy and basically like a hug. But as I got older I found them to be kind of unflattering on my small frame, as I am a short human. Therefore I am always on the hunt for a smart and more fitted jumper dress that is work appropriate and night time appropriate, which does not make me look like a six year old at the work place or a little girl who is out way past her bed time. This dress from Zara, which also comes in a white/grey colour is the perfect knitted dress, in my opinion. Yes it is not a snuggly number, but it is a very sexy knitted dress and I love it. It is still very warm and gorgeous. Look at the details of the buttons and the spilt in the middle, it is made from a great thick fabric which makes it nice and warm. This dress is amazing and makes me feel like I have all my shit together, and like a true lady boss.

I am a big fan of them for the colder months because they are snuggly and to be honest they are the easiest thing to throw on when you are feeling miserable and cold and you do not want to think too much about your outfit. Then you put on one and voila, you look put together and fabulous and did I mention warm. Even though I am loving the colder weather so that I can layer, I am getting grumpy about getting out of my PJ’s and getting ready, so jumping from my comfy clothes to a jumper dress means, I am less likely to be grumpy…. less likely.

This got me thinking (and window shopping a.k.a “research” – some of these have ended up in my basket) and I have created a knitted dress edit, of all sorts of knitted dresses. I was looking for s knitted dress with some interest, whether it be the shape of the dress, or the colour. Then I found the traditional knitted dress with a twist as well as the knitted dress with some sex appeal.  There is a knitted dress for every occasion.
